Marco Tullio Barboni
Marco Tullio Barboni belongs to a family of “cinematographers”. (Uncle Leonida was a masterly director of photography and his father Enzo was first a camera operator then director of photography and finally director under the pseudonym of EB Clucher).
First official assignment – and first ENPALS payments (!) – on the occasion of “They Call Me Trinity” with the qualification of second assistant director. Subsequent years engaged in university studies (Degree in Political Science with a thesis on the institute of censorship), attending a series of internships (Directing, held by Paul Gray and Ron Richard; screenwriting, held by Robert Mc Kee; structure and development of the TV series, held by Morton Zarkoff; of story analysis and rewriting structure, held by Linda Seger) and in starting the collaboration with the soc. TOTA (i.e. with the aforementioned father Enzo now better known as EB Clucher).
In 1981 he began to sign the subjects and screenplays he wrote, first for TOTA (in those cases following the entire process, from conception to mixing) then also for numerous other productions.
After having written around forty films and television episodes, the desire to tackle different themes and to do so in a totally free manner led him to a “free lance” foray into directing.
Making use of the collaboration of some friends of extraordinary professionalism, such as, for example, Roberto Andreucci and the maestro Franco Micalizzi, he organizes, writes and directs the two short films and a music video also directed by him.
He is also a book author, and published a trilogy in the last years:
“…and you will call it destiny” (2016) “Walking with the Wizard. Merlin and me” (2017) “Methuselah kid. Discovering a child’s heart” (2021)
